New adventures and experiences.
Andrea from Egypt via italy. From Cairo to cape town. Andrea started his trip as a diver instructor and part owner of a dive company in sham el sheik on the east coast of Egypt. This has been his life for the last 10 years He had never really ridden a bike and decided to take a year off and ride to the southern tip of africa. Camping and small guest houses. No real plan. I ran into Andrea just after he checked in. Funny but not surprising he had run into Martin from Germany in the north. . This whole full circle has been amazing.
We live our lives to pay rent/ mortgage , buy food and take two weeks a year. Life really is short. Take it by the balls and do what you want. Safely and security is far to overrated. Actually it is pretty safe here just keep your wits about you Do not wait till your body gives out and you have given up. Ask yourself if you could do one thing this year what would it be?
Martin and his father Dr Tony from Belgium. With their Toyota land cruiser converted to a pop top. Jami and Martin ran into them in Ethiopia. This is the norm here it seems. Regular people taking a trip of a lifetime.
Tony actually touched the lion when it was beside the cruiser. Only one tire has blown out three leaf springs in 16 thousand KM other than that no real challenges. Father and son do africa. Dad if you are reading this I am game if you are?

Maartin from Belgium , Martin from Germany, Jami from Finland, Andrea from Italy. And Dr Tony from Belgium. All are the OVERLANDERS. , from a bicycle, to motorcycle, to land cruiser. No plan and all the adventure you could ever want. In Ethiopia you could not even take a pee without a crowd around you. To border issues. But all were happy as hell and ready to continue the next part of the adventure. Looking forward to following their journey after I return home.
All the best guys. Ride safely. And above all have an amazing time!!!!!
